A swipe game for UX designers

A design career, one swipe at a time.

The PM wants it by Friday. The CEO wants the logo bigger. A user just lost everything in a tunnel. Swipe right for yes, left for no, and keep Users, Team, Business and Craft alive long enough to retire a legend.

How it works Every answer moves the meters above. Empty one, or let one overflow, and your career is over. After each call you'll see what a seasoned designer would have done.
How it plays

Four meters. No right answers. Only trade-offs.

Every card is a real situation from a design job: a PM, a founder, a researcher, an actual user. Say yes or no. Every choice pushes and pulls on the four things a designer has to keep alive.

Balance, not perfection

Users, Team, Business and Craft all start at 50. Hit 0 or 100 on any of them and the career ends, so even "good" answers can sink you.

400+ real design calls

Dark patterns, redesign sagas, research budgets, AI-generated screens, layoffs. Nothing repeats in a career, and the deck cycles before anything comes back.

The Crit Review

At the end of every career you see your UX IQ and the calls you missed, with what a seasoned designer would have done and why.

9 endings to collect

Burn out, get fired, get promoted into oblivion, or survive 40 sprints and retire a legend.

Goals and promotions

Three goals per career, a real title ladder from Junior to CDO, and chained consequences that come back to haunt you sprints later.

Offline and private

No account, no ads, no tracking. Your progress lives on your phone and the game plays fine in airplane mode.

Screens

It looks like the tool you already work in.

Cards are artboards. Meters are ring gauges. Your cursor has a name tag. It's a design tool, except every decision has consequences.

FAQ

Questions, answered

When can I play it?

CRIT is in testing on Android right now. Join the waitlist and you'll get one email the day it goes live on Google Play.

Is there an iPhone version?

Yes, after the Android launch. The waitlist email will cover that too.

Do I need to be a designer to play?

No. PMs, engineers, founders and students all get something out of it. If you've ever been in a design review, you'll recognise the cards.

Does it collect my data?

The game collects nothing. No account, no ads, no analytics. Your progress is saved on your phone only. The full details are in the privacy policy.

Does it need the internet?

No. Everything is on the device, so it plays anywhere, including trains in tunnels.

Your first crit is coming soon.
